Issues with the Motor Insurance Database
On 29th April the Motor Insurer’s Bureau (MIB) made some changes to the Motor Insurance Database (MID). Since then there’s been issues with the stability of the database and the accuracy of vehicle data maintained on the MID.
Insurers are currently liaising with the MIB as a matter of urgency to understand what actions are being taken to quickly rectify this problem and minimise any potential impact on customers. The FCA have also been made aware of the situation.
In the meantime, we recommend that if you have a motor certificate you make sure this is in the vehicle driven.
