Insurance Broker Essex: how much time are you spending shopping around?
As I type this blog, I am sat in a well known coffee establishment on an industrial estate in Essex, waiting for my car to be fixed.
When I’ve been here in the past, I used to see people sat on their laptops, frantically typing away, and wondered whether it was so important that they needed to be doing whatever it is they were doing right now.
Knowing I would be without transport for a large part of today, I decided to join them and catch up with some work, rather than kill time in less productive ways.
I’ve noticed in myself and with the people around me generally lately, that time is a precious commodity, and one we are reluctant to waste. I think its fair to say we are often faced with tasks that will take up our time and speaking from experience, it can be hard sometimes to know how to prioritise.
Take my car for example – I guess I could go and buy a manual and try to figure out how to fix the little light that wont go off on my dashboard, but I know I could probably spend a whole day on it (or more) and probably still be unsuccessful. So I am getting the garage to sort it, leaving me to get on with what I do best.
The same thing happened last month – I needed a new tenant in my rental property, so rather than spend all my time ringing round, advertising through various mediums etc, I got a really good letting agent to sort it all for me.
We all have things that we are good at, and we are all faced with tasks that we could do ourselves, but it would probably be much more beneficial from a time and financial perspective, to outsource to an expert.
As insurance brokers in essex, we’re often asked by business owners to find them the best deals for their business insurance policies. This saves them valuable time and money – the things most people wish they had more of!
If you feel like you are spending more time than you would like to on your business insurance, either online or through any other medium, contact me to discuss how I can help.
(just don’t call me if your car won’t start!).
