Leased Van Fleet Insurance
I won a new client this week who had approached us for some help with leased van Fleet Insurance. They had been hiring vans from a vehicle hire company for a year, and insurance had been thrown in to the deal, so they hadn’t needed to look at it.
However, when they contacted me, they were just about so sign a new deal with another lease company that had saved them a lot of money on their hire costs, but did not offer insurance.
Problems sourcing Leased van Fleet Insurance
When I spoke to the client, they had experienced difficulty buying insurance because they had never had a leased van fleet insurance policy before, so couldn’t produce any solid claims record.
Fortunately, as fleet insurance brokers, we place a lot of fleet insurance business for our clients, so I was able to use the good relationships we’ve built with the insurers to get some quotations for them.
The outcome was the client got a competitively priced leased van fleet insurance policy, allowing anyone over the age of 25 to drive (although younger driver cover was available if he needed it),and insuring the vans comprehensively.
The lease company were happy, as the vans were properly insured, and the client was delighted; having saved money on his van hire bill and sourced a well-priced motor fleet insurance policy.
In fact, my client was so happy with our work that we’ve just placed his Commercial Combined (Liability etc) insurance policy for him!
I suppose the reason we were able to get such favorable terms for the client (where others had failed, we learned afterwards), is we do this a lot and we have excellent relationships with insurers, both in our capacity as fleet insurance brokers and brokers for non-motor policies.
